Welcome to the website of  the Classical Association of Ireland.  The Association provides lectures and field trips for those interested in the civilisation of Greece and Rome. It organises social and other events to bring lovers of the Classics together. For Classical teachers it is working to retain and expand the place of Classics in the curriculum;

to assist in the development of methodology and teaching aids; and to raise awareness in the community at large of the advantages of studying the Classics, particularly in view of the Classical heritage shared by all of Europe.

The Association has branches throughout Ireland, including Cork, Dublin, Galway, Limerick, Sligo and the South East.

If you have a question about membership or about the association, drop us an e-mail.

The links at the top of the page will lead you to news of events, lectures, and courses The website provides information about the branches and how to become a member of the Classical Association.
